Theater for Social Change Mini-Summit:
Is There a Role for Comedy in the Face of Adversity?
From June 16-22, local and international community arts groups, performing
artists and companies will come together in New York City to explore the
role of humor in addressing issues of social justice and bringing about
change in communities.
This event is the result of an ongoing international exchange between
The Glass Contraption and Siyaya Music Theater, an HIV-outreach youth
theater company based out of the JL Zwane Cultural Center in the Guguletu
township near Cape Town, South Africa.
